Archieve?
Do you have archieves of your paper? My 83 year old Dad lived there and was in paper in 1942 or 1943. Artical about finding/killing a snake with 19 baby snakes inside. He tells story often and wants to confirm it. Thank you

Sopchoppy 4th July Parade
Several of our family, friends and neighbors have commented on their disappointment that none of the veterans names were included with their photo as like all the other parade photos. If it weren't for these men and others like them, parades like this wouldn't be happening anywhere in our great country. It isn't that these men have a need to be "known"; it's just we should have had a desire to know who there were. My dad was the one in the wheelchair. He just turned 88 and has alzheimers. He struggled to be in that parade but he managed to do it because this country and the flag are still in the center of his heart. Even with the disease, he "knows" the flag, his fellow service men and his service to this country and how precious "independence" is. No disrepect intended but I think they rate a little higher than tractors, and floats, etc. I know I'm biased and if this offends anyone, that wasn't my intention. I just hope the same mistake (although I'm sure it was unintentional) won't be made the next parade that comes by. Just so you know, his name is Ret. Master Sergeant Elbert Green.
