Frank Lindamood plays his Tru-Tone Resonator
Frog and Hummingbird in Sopchoppy hosted Elisabeth and Lon Williamson and Frank Lindamood last week, who played songs from their new CDs.
About 30 people were in the small performing space to hear the Williamsons perform music from "Deep," their new CD on Gatorbone Records." Lindamood, who opened the show on Friday night, Feb. 12, was performing behind his debut release, "Hewed from the Rock."
Lis Williamson is originally from Tallahassee, and a graduate of Leon High School. She played the banjo and accoustic guitar and sang, and Lon Williamson played standup bass.
The Williamsons currently live in Keystone near St. Augustine and frequently perform there.
Lindamood has been playing music for over 40 years, playing guitar, banjo and harmonica. At a jam session in Sopchoppy several years ago, Tom T. Hall praised Lindamood's banjo playing in the claw hammer style, a traditional but disappearing style.
Both CDs are available for purchase at the Frog and Hummingbird.
