The Riversprings Lady Bears softball team remains undefeated after a 15-1 win over the Trinity Knights this week. The match-up against Taylor County was rescheduled for March 26 due to inclement weather.
Seventh grader Kaelee Hill led the team and pitched five innings against the Knights with nine strike outs. Ashley Carroll led the offense and went two for four with a single and a double. Adding hits were Amy Walker, Kayla Hussey, Kristen Eimiller and Courtney Eichler.
“Midway through the season we are still taking one game at a time," said Coach Jessica Wells. "Each contest is a game of making great pitches at the right time, being opportunistic by scoring at the right time and playing good defense.”
The RMS Bears are scheduled to play the Lady Wildcats at WMS, March 11 at 4 p.m. Their last home game will be March 16 against Taylor County at 4 p.m.
The Riversprings Bears Softball Team players include: Ashley Carroll, Kathryn Eck, Courtney Eichler, Kristen Eimiller, Kaelee Hill, Kayla Hussey, Taylor Hussey, Savannah Kelley, Shakayla Nixon, Savannah Poulson, Bailee Sullivan, Amy Walker, Rebecca Weirbeck, Kristen Millender and Team Manager, Alex Dutton.
