The Riversprings Middle School Bears started the 2010 baseball season with two wins. On Feb. 11, the Bears traveled to Tolar Middle in Bristol and grabbed their first win, 7-5. Jacob Plouffe led the team with three hits, and 3 RBIs, and Keith Gavin had two hits and one RBI. Plouffe was also the winning pitcher and Bailey Metcalf got the save. On Feb.17, the Bears hosted Wakulla Middle and defeated the Wildcats, 6-5. Jacob Plouffe was two for three with two RBI’s, Jordan Franks also went two for three and had one RBI, and Micah Gray had two RBI’s. Chance Carter started the game great for us pitching four innings and Plouffe came in and pitched the last three innings for the win.
