I participated in the Florida Library Association’s Library Day at the Legislature on Feb. 1 and came away with a cautiously optimistic view on library funding.
As of this writing, both the Governor’s and the House’s budgets have the $21.3 million funding for the State Aid to Libraries program, which is the minimum level the funding must be at in order for Florida Libraries to remain fully eligible for Federal Grants and funding.
