Panacea drug bust nets two

Two Panacea men were arrested Thursday, Dec. 4 following a 45 day undercover drug investigation involving powder cocaine and marijuana, according to Wakulla County Sheriff Donnie Crum.

Two Panacea men were arrested Thursday, Dec. 4 following a 45 day undercover drug investigation involving powder cocaine and marijuana, according to Wakulla County Sheriff Donnie Crum.

Timothy James Miller, 21, and Anthony Joseph Maiorano, 26, were charged with trafficking in cocaine, possession of marijuana with intent to sell and possession of cocaine with intent to sell, according to sheriff’s office investigators.

Law enforcement officials used a confidential informant to purchase 1.25 ounces of cocaine. Later, a search warrant was obtained for the Maiorano home on Surf Road where 47 grams of cocaine, 530 grams of marijuana and various pills, such as Ecstasy and Viagra, were recovered.A search of the Miller residence followed and law enforcement officials recovered one pound of marijuana. Both men were taken to the Wakulla County Jail.
