Florida Republican Sen. Marco Rubio waded Wednesday into a debate about so-called “net neutrality” rules, describing them as unneeded regulations on the Internet.
The Hill reported that Rubio’s comments came as the rules get ready to take effect Nov. 20 to ban broadband providers from discriminating between similar content providers. Rubio described as “ridiculous” arguments that the freedom and growth of the Internet would be in jeopardy without regulation, according to The Hill.
