At their last meeting, the County Commission passed a Resolution requesting the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission to provide an exemption from pending rule changes that would set the recreational fishing season for gag grouper to be July through October. In last week’s edition of this paper, a letter writer urged local recreational fishermen to pressure the FWCC to grant an exemption for Wakulla County citing an alleged existing exemption for Monroe County.
