    Ronald Nyle and Jana Strain, of Ochlockonee Bay, welcomed a baby girl, Aeven Elise Strain, on Sept. 28 at 1:35 p.m.

    She weighed 6 pounds, 3 ounces and was 19 inches long.

    Her maternal grandparents are Andre and Mary Tollefsen of Ochlockonee Bay.

    Her paternal grandparents are Dale and Darlene Ellenbarger of Martinsville, Ohio.

    Zach Harris celebrated his first birthday on Oct. 15 in Washington, D.C., with family and friends.

    He was born on Oct. 17, 2010, in Atlanta, Ga.

    He is the son of Andrew and Clarissa Linton Harris.

    He is the grandson of John and Toni Harris of Atlanta, and Sid and Isabella Linton of Rockingham, N.C.

  • Weltman to wed Feigeles

    Mr. And Mrs. Joseph and Claire Feigeles of Lyndhurst, Ohio, are pleased to announce the engagement and upcoming marriage of their daughter, Michelle Feigeles, of Richmond Heights, Ohio, to Michael J. Weltman.

    Weltman is the son of June Kiner, Willoughby Hills, Ohio, and grandson of  100-year-old Esther Saginor, S. Euclid, Ohio.

    Weltman is a Mortgage Banker and Florida Sales Manager for FirstBank, based in Tennessee, specializing in senior products.

    A November 2011 wedding in Cleveland, Ohio, is planned at The Temple Tifereth Israel.

    Brittany Renee Blakeslee and Trey Vause, both of Crawfordville, announce their engagement.

    She is the daughter of Dale and Christina Blakeslee of Crawfordville.

    He is the son of Chuck and Tracy Vause of Sopchoppy.

    Bride-elect’s  grandmother is Gerry Conlon of Margaretville N.Y.

    The groom-elect’s grandparents are Bobby and Loraine Vause of Sopchoppy.

    The bride-elect graduated from Tallahassee Community College’s RN program last April and is currently a nurse at Tallahassee

  • Reception for Christie June 25

    Nicholas Christie graduated from the Art Institute of Jacksonville with a bachelor’s in fine arts in digital filmmaking on June 18.
    During his sophomore year in high school, he produced the documentary which won NWF’s Youth Conservationist of the year, on Wakulla County’s river systems, “Paradise in Peril.”
    He is the son of Connie Christie and the late Michael Christie.

  • Tillmans celebrate 50 years

    Thomas and Virginia Tillman, of Crawfordville, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on June 24.
    They were married on June 24, 1961, at St. Clements Chapel, Episcopal Church of the Advent in Tallahassee, by the Rev. Harry B. Douglas.
    They have two children, Michael Britton Tillman and Daniel Graham Tillman and his wife Ginger, all of Wakulla County.
    They have two grandchildren, Tylher and Taylor Tillman.
    Thomas Tillman is retired from state government and Virginia Tillman is retired from the Wakulla County school system.
