A small crowd turned out at the Wakulla County Sheriff’s Office for the annual memorial observance for those lost in the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks.
The sheriff’s color guard and the Wakulla High School NJROTC color guard raised the flag to half staff as a trumpeter played “Taps.”
Sheriff Charlie Creel presented Norman Peak  with a flag that flew over the sheriff’s office on Sept. 11 last year.
