  • A Message from the President

    Dear Wakulla Business Owners:

Due to the state of the economic slump, your Chamber of Commerce is actively working on a “Shop Local Wakulla” campaign in support of our Chamber members and other Wakulla County businesses interested in jump-starting our local economy.

  • 'Shop Wakulla' has been of value to Gulf Specimen

The "Shop Wakulla" Festival in October proved to be of great value to Gulf Specimen Marine Laboratory – netting us a new accountant, Karen Taylor.

She is proving to be a real gem, helping us keep our affairs and finances in order, and we probably would never have met her if we hadn't stopped by her booth and had a chitchat.

  • Chamber mixer at Gulf Specimen

Gulf Specimen Marine laboratory hosted its first Wakulla Chamber of Commerce social mixer on Feb. 18. About 70 people showed up to watch Jack Rudloe hand-feed the aquarium's big nurse sharks, and saw a blue crab hold its own against an octopus that was trying to eat it.

For once, pinching claws outdid grasping tentacles and sucker disks, and the crab stayed in the octopus tank unharmed. Some people, who said they have lived here all their lives, saw the aquarium for the first time.

    Greeting Fellow Chamber Members,

  • Chamber Spotlight: Graphic Visions

    Name of business: Graphic Visions

    Name of owner: Kim Campbell

Tell us about your business (include unique facts and history): I started my business in 1993 after I was tired of working for companies that didn’t think outside the box. Over the years, I’ve won a few design awards which keep me motivated. I’ve had clients tell me that I’m easy to work with and a fast designer with a creative eye. I think that’s what has kept me in business for so long, even in this economy.

  • Chamber Chatter 03.04

On behalf of UF IFAS/Wakulla County Extension, I want to thank the Chamber of Commerce for providing educational opportunities to their members. We especially would like to thank you for allowing us to take advantage of the Burt School Scholarship.
