Lantern room needs repair

More than a fresh coat of paint is needed to repair Wakulla County’s iconic 160-year-old lighthouse at St. Marks National Wildlife Refuge.
The campaign is on to repair and preserve the lighthouse, and the $7,500 Duke Energy Foundation check to the “friends” group, St. Marks Refuge Association, Inc., was a good starting point on July 27.
