  • New Chamber officers installed

    The Wakulla County Chamber of Commerce recently installed a new board of directors for the 2019 calendar year. More than 30 area leaders agreed to serve the local business community for the next twelve months. One of the priorities outlined for the year ahead involved not only telling Wakulla’s story to a broader audience but becoming part of a larger, regional economic development narrative.

  • Ouzts Too hosts September luncheon

    Everyone knows about our September networking luncheon at Ouzts Too and Ms. Dorothy’s hospitality is no secret. She loves giving us a chance to sample some of the items on the restaurant’s menu, including her homemade salsa appetizer.
    The buffet included smoked mullet, hush puppies, pulled pork sandwiches, bacon wrapped shrimp skewers, barbecue ribs, rice and shrimp, fried fish and shrimp, “peel’em shrimp,” baked beans,  grits, and gumbo.

  • Free QuickBooks workshop

    A free QuickBooks Workshop will be held Thursday, Sept. 20 from 2:30 to 5 p.m. at TCC Wakulla Center.
    The training is being led by Dennis Scarry, a 19 year veteran of using QuickBooks and member of the Chamber. You will learn shortcuts and reports that will help you manage your business. Reservations requested.

  • Cuban Mojos hosts after hours

    Close to 50 members met for our after hours networking event at Cuban Mojos, 10 Preston Circle in Crawfordville. Thank you, Pilar Vidal, General Manager of the restaurant, and your staff for your hospitality, the drink specials during the event as well as “The Taste of Cuba” appetizers, which included mini Cubans, cod croquettes, yuca cheese balls, stuffed shrimp jammers, jalapeno poppers, fried pickles and Cuban cracker balls.
